The Director of Marketing reports directly to the Chief Executive Office (CEO)
Director of Marketing will work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to elevate the NRO brand and to attract more musicians and patrons to our products and services. The position is responsible for the company’s overarching marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives, as well as for the effective promotion and communication of all artistic programming, including brand development, messaging, marketing, advertising, and web and social media strategies.
Applicants must be:A self-starter with a minimum of three years experience in marketing and/or public relations
With:A proven track record of successful ticket sale campaigns A proven track record of managing staff and a busy production/work calendar Extensive experience with social media, marketing production and media purchase A high level of experience with Word Press, Photo Shop, InDesign, Microsoft Office and Publisher Excellent writing skills Experience writing press releases
Accountabilities include :
Director of MarketingDevelops marketing strategy by studying economic indicators; tracking changes in supply and demand; identifying customers and their current and future needs; monitoring the competition Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis Attend concert performances, special events and community engagement events Market and promote all special events
Ticket SalesManage the ticket office relationship , including working with the ticket office on packages and single ticket sales. Manage complimentary tickets
Write and coordinate press releases and pitches; secure media coverage across all audience targets, including local residents, 2 nd homeowners, visitors and musicians. Actively engage, cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding NRO programs, special events, public announcements, and other projects.
Communication with staff, board, volunteers and others
Broaden the impact of the NRO’s programs and oversee organizational messaging. Identify key stories, messages, and initiatives to promote the NRO’s work in multiple markets; craft compelling and nuanced copy to communicate those messages. Exercise judgment to prioritize media opportunities, and prepare talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting material as needed.
Marketing MaterialsDevelop all NRO print communications including the annual report, brochure, program book, marketing materials and electronic communications including the NRO’s website, newsletters and news media; manage relationships with associated vendors. Manage creation of the annual program book and brochure, including the sale of ads.
Media/Social MediaLeverage digital, print, radio, web and social media to increase awareness of the NRO and consistently articulate the NRO’s mission. Generate a range of content including blogs, website and social media copy, photos, and videos. Manage the website.
Compensation:A highly competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 depending on qualifications Healthcare Parking within Breckenridge Paid vacation based on years of work
